It is my pleasure to recommend Country Road Log Homes as a quality builder of homes. We made decision to build home in the Summer and moved into our 3,300 square foot home in April.

Along the way, we worked closely with David, Melissa,Robert, and the rest of the crew to build the house of our dreams. Because of personal circumstances, we did not want to be responsible for hiring subcontractors or having to closely superwise the work. We wanted our home built, hand us the key, and let us move in. However, it became such a fun project. We had almost daily contact with at least one of the Country Road crew, and started to feel like they were part of the family!

As I'm sure it is whenever you build a home, things come up. There are always many choices to be made. Changes in taste in the middle of things. Decisions that you don't like a wall here or there and so you want to tear it out and put it somewhere else. Being talked out of the hardwood floor that you really, really wanted because it's not very efficient - and liking the new one better, anyway. Oops! that paint color doesn't go on those walls! I think I want tile instead of formica. Who would put a doorbell in the middle of a wall? Uh, guys, I think I'd really like a garage attached to the house - by the time we move in, please. Finding out at the last minute that the building inspector has a whole lot more things on his list before he'll give his approval. And on and on.

But, boy, it was worth it! We have a beautiful log house that became a log home the day we moved in. we were happy and satisfied with the whole process - from working with the architect to finalizing the blueprints, to turning the lock in the front door the first night we spent there. The entire Country Road crew was receptive, responsive, and created a quality product. We were actually a little sad when our home was completed, because it meant not seeing those folks every day any more.

If we were to build another home - although I can't imagine ever leaving this one - I know that we would call once again on County Road, and I highly recommend them to anyone else who wants a warm, cozy, beautiful, quality-built home that will be standing long after we all are gone. Well, maybe we could build another one at the beach...

This is a letter of recommendation to anyone who is considering a log home:

In January of 1998 my wife and I after looking a different types of houses decided to build a log home. We signed a contract with Country road Log Homes to build our home. We chose the Blue Ridge which would be completed up to the interior which we would complete ourselves.

Our home has three bed rooms, living room, kitchen, dining area, sunroom, with two and half baths. We have lots of closet space. We love our front porch and spend many restful evenings on our swing and rocking chairs.

We moved into our home in October 1998 and have enjoyed the comfort of our home. We consider our log home a gift from God and a wonderful way to retire and spend our senior years enjoying our six grandchildren.

We have no problem heating our home in the winter or cooling it in the summer. We are very pleased after eight years of living in it.

We would love for you to let Country Road Log Homes bring you out for a visit some time. I believe you will like what you see.

My relationship with Country Road Log Homes has been pleasurable. They have great knowledge of their business. They also take pride in their work. They want the customer to see their quality of work. Example: Tours, Photos. They have always been accessible when needed. If I know someone was wanting to build a log home, I would refer Country Road log Homes.
